Tommy Bock

The carnival Acoustica got the whole program. Whether musical roller coaster, haunted house, toboggan run,the big wheel of measures, rocking bumper car, melancholic pony court, Disco like mirror dementia, singing – bearded women and the unicycle riding juggling bear. We got everything. One thing is given: At the shooting gallery everybody will win the big teddy bear - but only the music soft toy. Acoustica is the fairground of the feelings.

The band Acoustica was formed in 1993 after a party of the radio station Radio Frei. The former members King Roman, Morgan Star and Ringo Fire had there musical home with the band fast food cannibals. A few weeks later Mariah Kerthy, an old friend and bass player of Juergen Kerth, joined the band.

The concept of Acoustica was as easy as effective. Reduced cover versions of well known rock and pop classics with a spontaneous anarchical show. In 1994 the band played several show gigs through France, Netherlands and Belgium. In 1997 the drummer Nils Parkinson joined the band. Annually played events like the Christmas tour and 1. may show soon attained a cult status.

In 2002 Acoustica played several shows at the Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City and 4 years later, in 2006, at the Wintergames in Torino and at the FIFA World Cup in Germany. In 2007 the guitar player Ringo Fire left the band. Instead of him Antonio Caprone (Tommy Bock / guitar player of Buckweedz!) plays the guitar like a machine gun. By now the band got a dual life. On one site many show events like Opernball Leipzig, Kunstfest Weimar, Radioshows, Honky Tonk Festivals, own Acoustica Festival etc. and on the other site club concerts in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and every year a fan journey with a big bus into European cities (2007 Prag/ 2005 Amsterdam/ 2004 Kopenhagen/2003 Vienna...)

For diversed music of the formation Tommy Bock, the guitar player of Acoustica, ordered our Regius 6 model equipped with two DiMarzio pickups: Air Norton in the front and D Sonic for bridge position. To make the guitar more personal we carved musician's initials in the 5th fret pole.
