Ignass M. Fofana
Ignass is a bass-player from Senegal living in France. He's been playing with a number of artists, like Fania, Djembe-Fare, Black Pyramide (afro-groove), Ceddo (Afro-funk), Tiken Jah Fakoly (reggae), Kool F (funk), Kiné Lam (African traditional music), Maciré Sylla (traditional & afro-funk), Disiz la Peste (Rap)… etc, blending his African origin influences and modern European grooves.
Ignass plays a 6-stringed Comodous Custom bass with Bubinga top in natural wood and matt finish. It also has his name inscripted on the trussrod cover and inside one of the motherpearl rectangle on the 12th fret of his Rosewood fingerboard (such instrument personalization options are available in all Mayo instruments for a special order). "I would like to thank Mayo for buliding such a beautiful custom instrument - just for me - I really love it, and so does my wife :-)", comments Ignass.
