INFECTED (LV)

Infected was created in Latvia in the year 2000. The band has already played a significant number of live shows, out of which one should particularly mention supporting the American NILE, as well as performance at II Metal festival in Blome amongst the most important Latvian metal bands. After 1 full-lp and numerous metal-collection appearances the group plans to issue their 2nd CD in 2007. Infected is fully endorsed by Mayo with guitar-players Viesturs & Artyom using Setius GTM-7 guitars & bass-player Ilmar playing a Be-5 Exotic Bass.

In January 2007 band's bass player joins May-player family playing Be-5 bass in standard configuration: amazaque body, mahogany-maple neck, Bartolini pickups and preamp. "The first thing that strikes the eye is the unusual form of the instrument's body and the texture of the wood it's made of! The size of guitar is perfect, it is very comfortable to play!" - describes his first impression after receiving the instrument.

"Saying in a few words - it is unique kind of a masterpiece! The sound is rich and volumetric! Despite a small body of guitar, the wood resonates very well! It is perfect for tapping and slap techniques. There's no doubt that the 2-line equalizer is another thing that should be marked! as the sound becomes clearer with it! I tested the bass using Hartke 350 W bassamp and Hartke 810XL cabinet and the result was amazing - I couldn't imagine the guitar would sound that qualitatively!" - admits Ilmar.
