LIK...ID (FR)

LIK…ID is a formation of 6 musicians playing an urgent and electric rock with no concessions, far away from the business preoccupations and all that glitters around it. All of this is motivated by determined and committed lyrics of band's vocalist - I.D.O. Since 2006 two LIK...ID's members are endorsing Mayones using 3 our instruments.

LIK…ID: 5 letters to dive in a new atmosphere, a mix of dark and soft, filled with both brutality and melody. 3 dots to take a moment to interpret our view of the world, blackened and poetic, between rock and lyrical songs, metal and trip hop.

Born in 1999, this band from the Yvelines (France) has grown by playing on many French stages, and counts more than 100 concerts, from L’Estaminet to L’Elysée Montmartre, they shared stages with Aqme, Eths, Lofofora, Bad Religion and Nightwish. Their first album “Rien n’est sens” (Musicast), an autoproduction, was sold 2000 copies, LIK…ID became very popular in the world of metal and rock and was commented widely in the music press.

In 2006 the group signed a deal with MVS Records to release their new album “Elevé à la peur” in February 2007. The LP was recorded at the MVS Broadcast Studio in Paris under the direction of the Italian producer Francesco Frilli and then mastered at the Nautilus Studio in Milan (Italy).

LIK...ID is officially cooperating with our company - Cha (the guitar player) and Babar (the bass player) are using our instruments both on stage and in the studio.

Babar is using two Be-6 basses, one fretted and one fretless version, with Bartolini pickups, Aguilar electronics and bolted necks with ebony fingerboards.

"The first time that I’ve tested the Be-6 fretted the rep said to me: 'It makes fifteen minutes that you play on this bass. You play like on your old bass whom you know by heart however!' I have to say it was true and better, it also sounds so much better than my old bass. The next day, I was ordering the same one, frettless.” - Babar describes his first touch with Mayones. "Now I have two Be-6 bolt-on: one fretted and one fretless. Both are equipped with Bartolini pickups and with the OBP-3 electronic by Aguilar with a mid range switch. The Be-6 is very light as for a 6 stringed bass. The body and the neck are so thin that it makes of it a true motorway."
