Today lessons is a Metal/Prog solo, all based on the B "Phrygian Dominant" mode (5th mode of the E Harmonic Minor Scale).
Phrygian Dominant:

Bar 1-4
the main theme is exposed, all based on Phrygian Dominant mode. Watch out for the tapped harmonics in bar 1, to archive it simply tap 12 fret higher from the fretted note, right on the metal, and not as usually behind it.
Bar 5-7
A patter of diatonic 5th and 6th is developed along the neck with hybrid-picking, I prefer to use the middle finger. Bar 8 an alternate picking patter, applied to Phrygian Dominant.
Bar 9-12
An open riff on the B string that ends with an alternate picking pattern.
