May-school / Joe Kataldo - Lesson #2 - Pentatonic Tapping

Hi guys, Joe Kataldo here again to show you some moder rock guitar techniques.

Today lessons is a selection of 5 tapping pattern I like to use a lot in my soloing. The idea is to play one pentatonic box with left hand legato, while extending it with right hand tapping, adding notes of the next pentatonic box, creating some three notes per string scale fragments

 

Extremely important is mute unwanted strings, I suggest to use your right hand palm, to mute strings above and left hand fingers side, to mute strings below fretted notes.

Don't forget to start slowly and build-up speed without compromising accuracy and most important incorporate some of this patterns in your regular soloing.
